Building Sidhahisab: From Idea to First Version

The story behind Sidhahisab: why we built it, what problems we are solving for small businesses, and what our first version focuses on.

Building Sidhahisab: From Idea to First Version

Most small shop owners still run daily operations on WhatsApp chats and handwritten notebooks.

I have seen this closely, and while it works for a while, it creates more problems than it solves.

Orders get missed. Tracking is weak. GST calculations become stressful. And at the end of the day, many owners still cannot answer one basic question: "How much did I actually sell today?"

That is where Sidhahisab started.

The problem was not lack of software

There are already many billing, inventory, and CRM products in the market.

But most small businesses still use multiple tools for one business:

  • Billing in one place
  • Inventory somewhere else
  • Customer data in another tool

This adds confusion, extra cost, and unnecessary complexity.

The goal was simple

Bring everything into one place.

A business owner should not have to switch apps just to run normal daily work.

A bigger gap: going online is still hard

Most software still does not help small businesses go online in a simple, practical way.

For many owners, getting online feels technical, expensive, or both.

With Sidhahisab, we want to change that.

Anyone should be able to take their business online without technical knowledge.

What is already live in Sidhahisab

We built Sidhahisab mobile-first around daily operations, and these core capabilities are now live:

  • Quick order creation
  • Product and inventory management
  • Basic CRM with WhatsApp and email automation
  • Advanced reporting
  • GST reporting
  • Document management
  • Task management

Built to adapt, not force

Every business works differently. Instead of forcing a rigid setup, we are keeping Sidhahisab flexible and improving it from real user feedback.

Your brand should stay visible

Business owners should own their communication with customers.

That is why users can configure their own WhatsApp and email, so every message comes from their brand, not ours.

Sidhahisab should power operations in the background.

Where we are today

This is still an early version, but shipping the first version was a big milestone for us.

Our mission is still simple:

Simplify business operations and make going online accessible to every small business.

If you run a business or support one, I would genuinely love your feedback. Your input will directly shape what we build next.
